Tá Coiste na dTuistí mar bhaill ríthábhachtach de phobal na scoile agus cuidíonn siad le foireann agus Boird na scoile ar iomaí slite, idir ócáidí speisialta a eagrú sa scoil, tacú le múinteoirí ranga agus foireann na scoile ar thurasanna scoile agus sna seomraí ranga, ag leasú agus ag dréachtú polasaithe scoile agus ag cinntiú go bhfuil gach tacaíocht chuí ar fáil do na páistí agus foireann na scoile i mbun foghlaim agus múineadh.

Coiste na dTuistí are essential members of the school community and they assist the school's staff and Board in many ways such as orgainising special events in the school, supporting class teachers and school staff on school tours and in the classroom, amending and drafting school policies and ensuring that every appropriate support is available to the school's children and staff to further learning and teaching in the school.
