Scoil lán Ghaelach, idirchreidmheach í Gaelscoil an Inbhir Mhóir. Tá an scoil suite ar bhóthar Emoclew, An tInbhear Mór, Co. Chill Mhantáin agus bunaíodh í faoi phátrúnas an Fhorais Pátrúnachta sa bhliain 1998.
Ba chóir go mbeadh saol an scoláire sa Ghaelscoil dearfach agus cuimhní fada buan chomh dearfach céanna acu i rith a saoil agus ‘Aoibhinn beatha an scoláire’ mar sprioc. Ansin, maitheas agus fiúntas an dara sprioc agus sin le feiceáil i ngach duine agus sa timpeallacht i gcónaí.
Ba cheart an féin mheas agus idirmheas iomlán phobal na scoile a chothú agus difríocht na ndaoine idir cine agus creideamh a cheiliúradh ar gach ócáid oiriúnach.
Is í fís na Gaelscoile go mbeadh an foireann teagaisc gairmiúil, dúthrachtach, dílis agus ag bogadh le nua-thuairimí an nua-aimsearthacht.
Ba chóir béim faoi leith a chur ar an mheas idir múinteoirí agus daltaí. Ba bhreá linn go mbeadh tacaíocht na dtuismitheoirí ag an scoil agus comhoibriú agus suim acu i léann a gcuid páistí.
Is mian linn freisin go mbeadh an Bord Bainistíochta ag tacú le gach gné d’obair na scoile agus iad eolach ar spriocanna agus éiteas na scoile agus ag cabhrú mar is gá chun na spriocanna sin a aimsiú. Is ar scáth a chéile a mhaireas na daoine agus is le chéile freisin a bhéas an bhéim ar chomhoibriú agus ar ard chaighdeán sa Ghaelscoil.
Gaelscoil an Inbhir Mhóir is an all Irish, interdenominational school under the patronage of An Foras Pátrúnachta. The school is situated on Emoclew Road, Arklow, Co. Wicklow and was founded in 1998.
School life in the Gaelscoil should impact positively on the pupils during their time here and they should have positive memories about the school in later life. It is the aim of the Gaelscoil to nurture the goodness in each child and bring it to fruition and to encourage the pupils to look for goodness in the world around them.
We envisage this occurring in an atmosphere of mutual respect where all members of the school community feel happy and secure working in a spirit of encouragement and enthusiasm while recognising and celebrating diversity.
We envisage in the Gaelscoil a professional caring staff who are co-operative, diligent and motivated, who are open to new and innovative approaches and ideas and we envisage a school where they are valued and respected.
We envisage parents who are supportive of the school and who are committed to and interested in their children’s learning.
We envisage a Board of Management that is supportive of the school and well informed of the work of the school, which is open and discreet and which is appreciative of the needs of the staff and partners and who actively encourage personal and professional development.
